The Core Concepts in Mentorship Training for the Breastfeeding Counselling Mentorship Program were developed through a highly consultative and collaborative process involving key partners and stakeholders. Led by the Ministry of Health with support from USAID and Nutrition International, the program draws on local and international expertise to strengthen the quality of breastfeeding counselling. Piloted at Mbagathi County Referral Hospital, the training incorporates real-world insights from mentors, mentees, and clients to ensure relevance and impact in improving maternal and child health.
